Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within court circumstances. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received several grants and was awarded many national and international awards. She has worked with many organisations and governments around the globe on policy and research relating to child victimized by the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
